iLearn Schools first annual Battle of the Books competition was a success! Fifteen teams comprised of 4th-6th graders battled for the title at Hudson Arts and Science Charter School. Each team was tasked with reading 10 chapter books and challenged to recall different details from each text. After seven rounds of amazing team work, team Running Readers (Sabrina L., Fatjona C., and Daniel N.) from Bergen Middle took the title and were named Grand Champions. Make recommendations to the school leader/ board for special facilities projects and capital expenditures; ensure compliance with lease terms and all applicable requirements for maintenance of a certificate of occupancy for educational use for each building occupied by the School.
Conduct a comprehensive performance review of school administrators in areas educational leadership, efficient management and administration, school climate and culture. STRONGE evaluation model will be used as the primary tool during the performance review. The performance evaluations will focus on the role of the administrator as educational leader concerned with teaching, learning and school improvement, as well as with efficient management and administration.

Conduct a performance review of fiscal and HR operations for the purpose of maintaining accurate records, internal controls and compliance with school policies and State and Federal regulatory requirements. The iLearn Schools curriculum design recognizes that learning objectives within Common Core State Standards (CCSS) must be met to better prepare students for PARCC assessments, college acceptance and work readiness. ESL Support Service
Train and coach ESL coordinator of the school in implementing a rigorous curriculum with the necessary support to fulfill the academic needs of the ELL students; Provide strategies to increase the collaboration between the ESL program and other mainstream courses. Provide student assessment, and testing tools and strategies to promote language development in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Provided guidance to the school in regards to the compliance with the codes and regulations in bilingual education.
