School Calendar via Google Calendar
Anyone who views the calendar will see the events, days off, early dismissal’s, etc. that are taking place at the schools.
Social Media Posts/Outreach (Facebook/Twitter)
In addition to our iLearn Schools website, each school (Bergen, Passaic and Paterson) has their own Facebook and Twitter Page that features events happening in the school as well as providing up to date information.
Weekly Phone Calls/Snow Day calls
Phone calls will be sent to parents in English and Spanish on Monday evening to provide information about activities or reminders for the week.
Our phone calls home will be also provided to you available 24/7 through podcast available on Apple and Android devices.
Weekly emails are sent weekly from the school’s Activity Coordinator who will provide information about the upcoming week or month.
Weekly Text Messages
Weekly text messages go out to our families who have provided their cell phone number and given reminders that are from the school.
iLearn Schools use ClassDojo, an online system helps teachers encourage positive behaviors during the day. With Student Reports, parents can view the results from the day and week! Student Reports can be viewed by parents on the ClassDojo app on iOS/Android or on the web at home.classdojo.com.
How do I view my child's report?
If you haven't connected with your teacher, you should do that first to set up your Parent account. After that, download the ClassDojo app for your iOS or Android phone, sign in, and you can start viewing Reports!
When are reports updated?
Reports are updated in realtime! If you have the app, you can log in anytime to see how your child is performing during the day. You'll also receive an email every Friday to see how they did for the whole week.
ClassDojo Messaging for parents
ClassDojo Messaging helps teachers and parents safely communicate with each other in real time. Similar to Facebook Messaging, as long as you have internet access, you can use ClassDojo Messaging!
How to turn on ClassDojo Messaging
Messaging is already a part of ClassDojo! You can access it from your ClassDojo iOS or Android app as a parent, or at home.classdojo.com. Both the app and the web has a tab for "Messaging" where you can send a message and respond to messages from your child's teacher.
When I respond to a teacher, is it private?
All messages sent by parents on ClassDojo Messaging can only be viewed by the teacher — no other parents (even your child's other parent or guardians) can view your messages.

Q: What is Schoology?
A: Schoology is an innovative learning management system (LMS) and social network that makes it easy to create and share academic content.
Q: Which school will be utilizing Schoology?
A: Currently our high school students and families will be using this Schoology.
Q: What are some key features of Schoology?
A: Four features that Schoology has are 1) Course Management 2) Mobile Learning 3) Communication Hub and 4) Integration Platform
Q: Is Schoology a replacement to our existing AES Database?
A: No, Schoology IS NOT a replacement of our existing database. In fact, Schoology is a “Learning management system (LMS)” whereas our existing AES system is a “Student database system (SDS)”.
Q: Why do I need to have access to this system?
A: Since we have started using iPads for instruction at our high school 3 years ago, regardless of its brand or name, our school was in need of a management system. LMS allows users to create, manage, and share academic content. It also provides tools needed to manage an online classroom. None of these can be done via AES system.
Q: It is my understanding that many students and parents are not trained enough with this new system and they do not really know how to access to all available reports. What do we do?
A: Please contact your school IT department for the assistance.
Q: How can I access my child’s final grades?
A: Our students' FINAL grades will be transferred to AES system at the end of each semester and students and parents will be provided a traditional report card by the end of each quarter.
