Last Wednesday, BASCS Elementary held an assembly to celebrate Diwali, the Hindu holiday meaning the festival of lights and a time when Indians all over the world rejoice. Everyone was delighted as Abhinav Kokkula, from 3B, treated us to some wonderful songs that he played on his keyboard. In addition, Yessica Jain from 3C, Ishaan Bery from 3B and Shavanshi Dutt from KC performed beautiful traditional Indian dances. We want to give a special thank you to Mrs. Sapana Shah for organizing such a wonderful event and to all of our parents who prepared the delicious Indian food which was displayed for everyone to enjoy.
