Paul Galan visited our 11th grade students of Mr. Powers’ and Mr. Sommers’ history classes on Friday December 9th. Paul Galan is a native of the former Czechoslovakia. He and his family were fortunate to survive the Holocaust through a series of unusual circumstances and a great deal of good luck. Mr. Galan immigrated to the United States as a teenager with his parents in 1951. He now resides in Suffern, New York after a long career as a filmmaker. Paul’s visit was also organized with the help of the Rockland County Holocaust Museum.
