Congrats to HASCS-Middle’s Science Olympiad team for a third-place finish at the 2019 North New Jersey Science Olympiad Competition. Hosted by iLearn Schools, the elementary division featured 20 teams going head-to-head on challenges that tested both science and engineering literacy. Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders at HASCS-Middle expressed interest to participate, and were then selected by the Science and STEM teachers based on grades; interest in science; attitude; and adherence to the Husky Creed. The overall third-place team finish was catapulted by strong performances in individual competitions such as paper rockets; elements, compounds, and mixtures; pentathlon; zowie estimation; bottle rocket; and crossword science. Thanks to all the coaches, participants, and families for your support and dedication!
