Technology at iLearn Schools

Technology integration plays a critical role in teaching, learning, and achieving continuous academic progress across iLearn Schools. A digital curriculum ensures that students are prepared to proactively make positive differences in life throughout a rapidly changing 21st century world.

Every classroom is equipped with an interactive Smart Board, clickers, and a document camera, and all students receive touch-screen computers in the form of Kindles, Chromebooks, or iPads. Forte keyboards are used in grades K-3 to help students hone their typing skills from an early age. Moreover, instructional technology coordinators on each campus share helpful tips and techniques for successfully implementing technology to enhance student learning in classrooms.

In addition to driving improved student learning, technology also plays an important part in communications. Each school website can be accessed through the iLearn Schools main website, which allows faculty, parents, and students alike to obtain information about current and future happenings across all of iLearn Schools.

iLearn Schools is also up-to-speed with social media, maintaining Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr accounts where the schools’ ongoing activities are clearly communicated with all stakeholders. In addition, iLearn Schools utilizes SchoolReach as a platform for broadcasting weekly voice messages to inform parents and staff about upcoming school events. These messages, along with school closings, are instantly communicated through text message and by voicemail, and are posted on school websites and on podcasts for convenience. iContact also streamlines email communication, while AES and Class Dojo are apps that allow parents and staff access to student accounts and information. This program enables parents to gain essential knowledge around their child’s academic performance and behavior at all times on the go. A Kiosk can be found at all of iLearn Schools’ school entrances, which is an advanced information system that enables visitors to electronically sign in and out of each building, as well as browse school communications, and even apply for our school online. This system asks visitors for feedback about their experience, which is then shared with the iLearn Schools administration for the purpose of driving ongoing reflection and decision-making that continues to positively shape our schools for the future.
