Phil Patire Teacher of the Year Program Overview

iLearn Schools is proud to announce its annual Phil Patire Teacher of the Year Program. The Phil Patire Teacher of the Year Program will honor excellence in classroom education and provide a forum to showcase many outstanding educators whose efforts and example have inspired their students, their colleagues, and the communities they serve. Phil Patire Teacher of the Year is the highest honor that iLearn Schools can bestow upon a teacher. This program will annually recognize and reward teachers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in teaching.

Campus Teachers of the Year

Nominees for Teacher of the Year will submit an application and all required documentation online. The school based selection committee, composed of the school director, assistant director of academics and assistant director of operations will the state of New Jersey Teacher of the Year scoring rubric to determine the finalists. The director of each campus will announce the campus Teacher of the Year to faculty and staff prior to the completion of the current school year.

Phil Patire Teacher of the Year

The names of all campus Teachers of the Year winners will be submitted and are eligible for selection as the Phil Patire Teacher of the Year. The iLearn Schools selection committee, composed of retired educators and members of the business community, will conduct the interviews and the interview process will be conducted in the Fall 2023. The Phil Patire Teacher of the Year will be announced district wide during American Education Week, November 13– 17, 2023.

Special Recognition for Award Winners

The campus Teacher of the Year will receive a monetary gift of $500.00 from iLearn Schools Inc. The Phil Patire Schools Teacher of the Year will receive an additional monetary gift of $1,000.00 from iLearn Schools Inc. Each winner will be recognized on their school’s website and the Phil Patire Teacher of the Year website. Additionally, each winner will have a framed photo hung on their campus, and the Phil Patire Teacher of the Year will have a framed photo hung at the iLearn Schools central office.

The application process for the following school year starts by September of the current year. iLearn Schools does not discriminate in its admission policies or practices on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, status as a handicapped person, proficiency in the English language or any other basis that would be illegal if used by a district board of education.

We are currently working with a curriculum mapping company to host all K-12 curricula. This project will be finalized by Fall, 2023.
