At iLearn Schools, college and career planning is part of the school day. Each high school is staffed with two full-time College & Career Counselors and one School Counselor.
College & Career Counselors lead academic and postsecondary planning: monitoring graduation progress, advising on Honors, AP, and dual enrollment courses, and guiding students through college research, applications, financial aid, scholarships, and résumé and interview preparation.
School Counselors support academic success, social-emotional well-being, and personal development through individual and group counseling, conflict resolution, and referrals to community resources.
Working seamlessly together, they provide fully integrated academic, college, and personal counseling for every student.

The College and Career Readiness Program follows a four-year sequence, adjusted to each student’s goals, with scheduled individual meetings and college and career information sessions delivered in the classroom.
The iLearn Schools Program of Study is designed so that advanced coursework is available to every student, not only to students who enter high school already advanced. Course levels include Regular, Honors, Honors Portfolio, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Career & Technical Education, and students may combine them according to their strengths and goals.
Honors courses lay the groundwork for AP study. The Honors Portfolio allows all students to earn honors credit through independent research, advanced writing, and project work, expanding access starting in grades 9 and 10.
iLearn Schools offers 39 AP courses across high schools under an open access model: students who meet the coursework prerequisites are encouraged to enroll. Counselors annually review data to invite qualified students into advanced courses, supported by Saturday sessions, tutoring, and summer accelerated programs.
Students can earn 15 to 30+ transferable college credits prior to graduation through 49 dual enrollment courses in partnership with Bergen Community College, Passaic County Community College, William Paterson University, and Ramapo College, reducing time and costs toward a degree. These dual enrollment courses are offered by our teachers, who are eligible to teach college courses using an approved curriculum.
The Early College Program, offered in partnership with Bergen Community College and Passaic County Community College, extends beyond individual dual enrollment courses. Students can graduate with at least 30 college credits or an associate degree through the partnership.
The first iLearn Schools cohort, the Class of 2026, earned a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously.
Up to 100%
tuition assistance and scholarships are available for eligible early college students.
Career readiness helps students connect their academic interests with future college majors and career opportunities. Our program prepares students to explore multiple postsecondary pathways, including four-year universities, technical programs, apprenticeships, industry credentials, and military service.
Our first state-approved Cybersecurity program combines rigorous academics with work-based learning and industry-focused skills.
Students also explore career pathways through internships, career fairs, employer partnerships, and other real-world experiences.
iLearn provides free SAT preparation through Sylvan Learning and Ivy Test Prep, alongside digital practice tools, ensuring test readiness without financial burden.
Exams, including the PSAT, SAT, and AP tests, are administered at the iLearn campuses. The school handles all registration, accommodations, and test logistics.
After testing, counselors review score reports with students to track growth, target skill gaps, and refine college application strategies.
