Program Expansion & Innovative Learning
The 2025–2026 academic year marked significant growth for the iStellar program, along with new coursework, industry tours, and our first AI Innovators EXPO.
- 240 students in iStellar: the program expanded across six middle schools and welcomed our Bronx campuses for the very first time.
- A broader curriculum: advanced mathematics, coding, virtual reality–integrated computer science, debate, drone soccer, and specialized training for future AP STEM lab technicians.
- Industry tours: students explored CNC machining and augmented reality welding with NJMEP.
- AI Innovators EXPO: our inaugural EXPO opened AI project development to high school students network-wide.
- 12 AI projects showcased: in February, students presented 12 student-designed AI projects at the AI Innovators Showcase at Clifton High School, tackling real-world challenges through applied AI literacy and prototyping.
Robotics & Engineering Excellence
iLearn robotics teams delivered standout performances at local, regional, and state levels throughout the season.

- Qualified for the State Tournament: Panther Gears, Passaic Middle, at the November FLL Competition

- 6th of 50 Teams: GearGurus, Clifton Middle, at the November FLL Competition
- Podium Finishes: iLearn robotics teams at the FLL Scrimmage
- FLL Explore Showcase: primary school students presented creative engineering designs.

Humanities, Entrepreneurship & Global Recognition
Highlighting our interdisciplinary approach to STEAM education, students excelled in communication, creative problem-solving, and entrepreneurship.
- 3rd Place Team Sweepstakes: Hudson ASCS, at the Forensics State Championship, plus individual speech and debate honors
- International Finalist: Paterson Middle, at the Genius Olympiad, for “The Reading Tree”
- NFTE National Finals: Omnisight, Passaic High School’s startup, at UBS Arena in New York
- Published Nationally: iLearn creative writers, selected for a national anthology
Community Engagement, Outdoor Learning & Partnerships
Year-round community integration and hands-on environmental science remained central to the iStellar mission.
- Hands-on science labs: hundreds of students took part in Students 2 Science immersive labs and the Trout in the Classroom conservation program.
- Outdoor learning: forest ecology studies and outdoor team-building at YMCA Camp.
- 750 participants: our “Make Things” festival brought the broader school community together.
- STEAM Parent workshops: interactive sessions where families explore STEAM alongside their children.
- Curriculum development: continuous curriculum development with CodeHS.
- International partnerships: emerging STEM education partnerships with the Bahamas.
